The Hood Incubator (THI) leads the movement for cannabis justice.
Why cannabis justice?
Cannabis Justice is a movement to leverage the regulated cannabis industry to increase the health, wealth, power, and prosperity of survivors of the drug war.
There are over 48,000 draconian drug policies lock survivors of the drug war out of opportunity and limit their access to education, employment, housing, child welfare, immigration status, and public benefits. These laws and policies were created by politicians determined to divest power from Black communities.
We're on a mission to restore that power.
We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.

We are a national network of cannabis justice organizers. We center cannabis justice in our fight for racial equity. We focus on economic justice, power building, and policy advocacy.
The eradication of existing drug war policies is a huge step for racial and economic equity. We won't stop until our community has everything our community needs to thrive.
SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER
We train and support drug war survivors to be leaders in their communities.
We empower the legal cannabis industry to create high-wage and ownership opportunities for drug war survivors.
We partner with activists at local, state, and federal levels to eradicate all U.S. laws that negatively impact the lives of drug war survivors while supporting inclusive and equitable cannabis regulation.
SUPPORT THE MOVEMENT
The cannabis community is one of the largest and fastest growing voter blocs in the United States. We welcome the legal cannabis community to leverage their power in support of drug war survivors and the cannabis justice movement. We freed the plant. Let's the free the person.
